– Membership Pre-Requisites –
 

TEEN MEMBERSHIP – A personal training session and movement evaluation is required for a teen (ages 13-18) to join our gym.  During this PT session, your teen will learn about our gym, correct form, and proper gym etiquette.  We want to make them as safe and comfortable as possible before starting classes.   We offer a teen rate membership starting at $50 a month for 1 class a week.  However, we also have 2-day, 3-day, and unlimited options.  

 
Once PT is completed, they may attend any of our adult classes.  Our teens attend regular adult classes and coaches will modify as needed. However, since they do attend class with paying adults, they must display willingness, aptitude, and respect similar to the adults in class. Our after-school classes times are M-TH at 4:15pm, 5:15pm and 6:15pm.  There are also classes on Saturday at 7:30am and 8:30am.
 
We’d love to have your teen join us and we welcome ALL ability levels!  We have a variety of kids ages 13-18 at our gym – some of them play sports and some of them do not.  Either way, our fitness classes are a great way to balance sport specific training or get your teen off the couch!

KID CLASSES – The goal with our younger kids is physical literacy.  We start early (must be 5 years old) and teach our CrossFit Kids proper body mechanies while creating a passion for fitness!  Depending on the class numbers, we divide the kids into small groups as needed.  Our kids class is held on Saturday mornings at 10:30am and ends at 11:10am.  The class is 40 minutes.

CrossFit Kids is a method for teaching Greg Glassman’s CrossFit to children. Based on the principle of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity, CrossFit Kids emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.

Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. Further, the needs of second graders and high-school varsity wrestlers differ by degree and not kind; the program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids.
